Pawlicies
This is a list of our policies. Please review them.
Pricing: The overall price of the grooming for your pet is determined by such things as the breed, size, temperament, physical condition, coat condition and the type of trim style that you would like on your best friend. On your first visit with us, you will receive a personalized evaluation of your pet to determine your expectations and what the total cost will be. Quotes given over the phone are approximate. Prices are non negotiable as they are fair for the services received. Discounts are not available for multiple pets.
Payment: Due the day of service. We accept cash and credit/debit cards.
Scheduling: By appointment only. If more than 15 min late your pet will either be “fit in” around other pets or rescheduled. “Quiet time” or "Express Grooming” appointments will have an additional service fee of $15 and must be scheduled in advance.
Pet Potty Time: Please make sure your dog has had a chance to go “potty” before your appointment. This allows your pet to be more comfortable during grooming, and could save us from having to re-bathe him/her. Should your pet need to use the bathroom outside the shop, please take him/her away from the immediate area in front of the store as this is a “no pee or poop zone” and always pick up after him/her as a courtesy to other patrons and store owners.
Vaccinations: All pets are required to be up-to-date and current on their vaccinations. We ask that you bring your pet’s vaccination record to your first visit and bring updates during your following visits. We can also contact your vet’s office for confirmation and have the certificate faxed to us. Pets showing any sign of illness will be asked to reschedule until such time as their vet clears them for grooming. We are not responsible for your pet contracting an illness due to improper vaccinations.
Restraint: All pets will be securely restrained for safety. The temperament of your pet will determine the amount of restraint needed. All pets entering the shop must be leashed or in a carrier for their own safety. If you forget your leash please ask for slip lead.
Pet History: Please advise us of all medical problems and behavior issues your pet has. Although we will make every attempt to groom your pet, safety of your pet is more important. Failure to divulge a history of aggression will result in owner being held financially responsible for injuries and lost wages to the groomer. We reserve the right to refuse service. Older pets are at greater risk of experiencing complication due to stress and will be groomed for safety and comfort ONLY. We will not compromise your pet’s health and comfort to achieve “the perfect groom”. If we feel that your pet is under too much stress we will stop the grooming session immediately and the charges will be adjusted accordingly.
Fleas: If your pet has fleas, they will be treated at the owner’s expense. It is your responsibility to insure your pet is treated year-round for fleas. If fleas are found during bathing, your pet will receive a flea bath and you will be charged an extra fee of $5.
Client staying: Pets do better when they can establish a rapport with the groomer. If you choose to stay you must stay in the lobby area and refrain from calling out to your pet. NO CLIENTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE GROOMING AREA DURING THE GROOMING PROCESS.
Pet Pick Up: We find that most pet owners would rather not leave their furry kids any longer than necessary. We can either give you a time to pick up your pet or call you when they are finished. Pet's must be picked up within 30 mins of either pick up time or phone call. Since we are not a daycare and try to remain cageless we do not have the facilities to house your pet for an extended time. Late pickups will be charged $10 every 30 mins to cover boarding fees. If you can not pick up in a timely manner prior arrangements must be discussed with us.
After Groom Complications: Some minor injuries (such as clipper or ear-plucking irritation) may not be noticeable until the pet is at home. If anything is amiss, call us as soon as you notice it. Most issues can be handled with 1st aid. Any vet visit must be in a timely manner.
Poorly maintained coats: Pets who haven’t been groomed for months are A LOT more work and will be charged accordingly. To avoid these fees, please speak to us about getting your pet on a regular grooming schedule. We WON’T put your pet through painful dematting. Some pets may have to be shaved. We are not responsible for health problems arising from a neglected coat.
Accidents/Injuries: We take every precaution to insure your pet’s safety however grooming is inherently hazardous. We are working with sharp objects around wiggly pets. Minor injuries will be given 1st aid and you’ll be advised of the injury and any at home care. Vet bills will not be paid for any minor injuries. If a major injury occurs, you will be called as the groomer is on her way to the Vet. We will pay any vet charges that result from traumatic injury. Any injury that is a result of poor coat condition or an underlining per-existing condition will not be paid.
Client Satisfaction: We strive for 100% client satisfaction. If you are ever dissatisfied for any reason, please inform us within 24 hours of completion.
